"Today the treasured moment is of a conversation with a young woman who wishes to start a network for young people who work in nonprofit organizations, so they might share ideas, energy, solutions, tools, funds, and anything else that might help support the whole. I am by nature a hopeful person, but my reserves of hope for us as a species are battered by each new government corruption scandal, each budget cut for social programs, each new military incursion. This woman's unshakeable courage and clarity of vision have filled me back up. She is crumpling the newspaper and starting a new story, a better story."
